100 Things To Blog About

My friend Meagan and I have blogs, and where she knows what she is going to write about; I am still wandering through the dark tunnels of media. I know I want to be a journalist, and then hopefully a broadcaster, but to get me there I need inspiration. So this morning Meagan shared a link with me on Facebook: "100 Blog Topics I Hope YOU Write About" by Chris Brogan. So this morning I read through the list and realized it mainly focused around media, communication , news!!! #80 on the list is "How Twitter Improved My Blog". Truthfully, I feel like it has in a way - now my friends that have a twitter can follow this blog on their twitter accounts.

For my AP language class we have to decide a topic for out term paper and in the end, I chose the effects of twitter. Ever since twitter was created communication as a whole has escalated dramatically -
  • NBA stars such as Bill Simmons (sportsguy33) publicized the March Madness draft via Twitter.
  • A lady was ashamed to announce her miscarriage to her family, so as a result, twittered about it.
  • Bands (i.e. Panic at the Disco, The Maine, Cobra Starship, Justin Bieber etc.) announce their tours, releases and drama within Twitter to let fans know ASAP

I, having a twitter of my own (cbfool) am able to follow my favorite celebrities. But not only that, I can talk to my friends across the world for free. If you don't already know me, I have friends all over the world, but one of my closest friends lives in England and because we both have a Twitter, it makes talking and catching up that much easier.

Therefore, I'm glad Chris Brogan published his article because it makes me that much closer to accomplishing what I dream of doing.
